We now need to strengthen our Customer Applications team with an Compliance & Regulations Engineer! 

In your role as Compliance & Regulations Engineer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to gather and document the necessary information to demonstrate compliance with standards and regulations. You will develop a good understanding of regulations and their application to fuel cell systems in various market areas, such as stationary, mobile, marine, and aviation. This knowledge will also be used as input to future design iterations of existing systems as well as any new systems we develop to ensure they are and remain compliant with the target market.

Preferred background and experties: 

• Background in a relevant engineering field (process, electrical, mechanical, etc)

• General understanding on how fuel cell systems work and operate

• Reading and writing technical documentation

Beneficial: 

• Experience with formal risk assessments such as FMEA’s or HAZID/HAZOP’s

• Knowledge of safety standards such as the IEC 62282 series

• Knowledge of the EU product directives (LVD, ATEX) and the CE marking process.

• Experience with the marine class approval process

• Approval experience in other industries, such as: stationary, vehicle or aviation systems.

• Is comfortable working with a multi-disciplinary team where you often have to talk to multiple people to find the information you are after.

• Can effectively communicate with internal and external people.
  
  
• Can represent PowerCell in meetings with customers, suppliers and regulating agencies.
  
  
• Can help lead and drive topics related to the compliance of our fuel cell systems towards different markets.

• Has a strong interest in technology and how different system interact in a complete product.
